What is a construction joint?

A construction joint is a gap or junction left between two building components or sections, typically resulting from the way a structure was assembled. These joints often need filling and sealing to close off the building envelope from air, moisture, and noise.

Why use expanding foam for cavity filling?

Expanding foam is used for cavity filling because it can reach into irregular, uneven spaces that rigid fillers or flat sealants often can't fill completely. It's dispensed once and expands to match the shape of the gap, rather than needing to be manually cut and fitted.

What spaces can FEVO SEAL fill?

FEVO SEAL PU Foam is suitable for construction joints, wall cavities, door and window frame gaps, pipe and service penetrations, and general building repair and maintenance work.

Is it suitable for irregular gaps?

Yes. Because it expands after application, FEVO SEAL PU Foam can fill cavities that are uneven in width, angled, or inconsistent in depth. As with any sealant, substrate compatibility and application conditions should be checked for the specific gap being filled.
